The first thing to Unleash about Netherlands is their political history as well as its government. Before 1581, The Netherlands had no government, king nor queen. They were divided to seven parts and was ruled and controlled by Spain.
After 1581, The Netherlands were free from Spain and its started to form its shape into the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands. The Netherlands was still divided into 7 parts during this time. 1806, Netherlands was defeated by France and was then controlled by them. The Netherlands become the part of Napoleon's Kingdom.
In 1810, The Netherlands become a part of the France parliament and Napoleon crowned his brother, Louis as the King of Netherlands. It was until 1813 when France was defeated and Netherlands declared their independence. Netherlands become the United Kingdom of Netherlands and they crowned William Frederik as the first king.
There was a change in the political system in 1848 that is the king and queen no longer holds the power to take decision, they change functions as a ceremonial symbol and a government was formed. The government was chosen by the citizens of Netherlands every 4 years.
